Visa

Check which rules apply to you below!

The Au Pair can receive a residence permit for a maximum of 12 months. Their passport needs to be valid for the whole stay. The average processing time of the application once submitted is 2-3 months.

The Au Pair needs to submit the application in their home country. If it is successful, the applicant will receive a residence permit card, which is necessary, along with the visa, to get though the Swedish border control.
The participant needs to pay the application fee (1500 SEK). The Visa application fee is a non refundable fee that needs to be paid to Migrationsverket. So in case of rejection, for every resubmittion, the 1500 SEK fee needs to be paid again. But with out help there is a good chance that you will get it on the first try.
